After an initial production run that created a shortage of the Bachmann Chassis, this kit is currently withdrawn for a redesign to include a dedicated chassis and will return as a complete kit. This will probably be sometime in 2026
The second release of our new multimedia body kit for an Egyptian Delta Railway Bagnall 4-4-0 is underway.
This is for the original long tank version. Originally we assumed it was the other way round, with the short tank first and then later batches with the larger water tanks to give increased range. It would seem it was the other way round, and we surmise that the long tanks put weight too far forward and created adhesion problems. The later shorter tank versions also came with sanders.
You might wonder why an Egyptian Delta Railway Bagnall 4-4-0? Well, idle messing with drawings and chassis between two friends noted that the Bachmann 0n30 Old Time 4-4-0 was a pretty close match to the wheelbase of the Bagnall, and it all sort of escalated from there.
The kit will include 3D printed main parts, brass castings, etched bits (maybe), stamped plastic and laser cut other parts. Truly multimedia. It does not include the chassis.
