A Cautionary Note

Most of the quarry Hunslets are still with us and used in preservation. Many that were cabless now sport preservation era cabs which, to put it bluntly, are a bit horrible. Basically, they have messed with the profile of the sides and not carried the cab side along and over the footplate to the rear, probably to increase headroom but it looks a bit poor. Also many are welded and not rivetted or bolted assembly which, again  in my opinion, loses some of the character.

As always work to a photograph
